This exquisite three-volume box set of Dante Alighieri’s ancient masterpiece, “The Divine Comedy,” was published in 1966 by Washington Square Press and features the macabre illustrations by Harry Bennett. The books and slipcase are in excellent condition.
Inferno is the first part of Dante’s 14th-century epic poem, The Divine Comedy, followed by Purgatory and Paradise. The story vividly depicts Dante's incredible journey through Hell, Purgatory, and Paradise, guided by the ancient Roman poet Virgil.

And I haven't even seen the artwork in Purgatorio & Paradiso, so I'm super excited! The condition is pristine, they arrived in beautiful, quality gift wrapping (that I'm totally saving & reusing), along with a handwritten card from the seller, complete a with gorgeous, red wax seal (a momento I'm saving). They even arrived a day early. I was like a kid opening a present on Christmas Eve. I gave my original Inferno to a loved one, but I will cherish & hoard these forever!
