Handmade prints and dyed texiles
Anna a étudié la gravure à l'université d'Oregon et à l'université de New York. Après ses études, elle a travaillé pendant trois ans dans un atelier de sérigraphie d'art à Brooklyn, avant de faire une pause pour voyager et travailler comme assistante d'atelier dans des écoles d'artisanat à travers les États-Unis. Depuis son installation dans l'Utah, elle se consacre pleinement à sa passion pour les plantes : elle a travaillé dans la serre du jardin botanique local et comme paysagiste. Aujourd'hui, elle est artiste à temps plein ; elle vend ses œuvres sur les marchés locaux, donne des cours et réalise des commandes personnalisées.
Anna réalise elle-même toutes ses illustrations, impressions et teintures. Elle a créé Anna Bugbee Studio pour partager ses illustrations botaniques et son amour de la montagne. Son travail met en scène des fleurs sauvages locales, des pollinisateurs et des paysages de montagne inspirés de ses aventures dans les monts Wasatch et au-delà.
Anna studied printmaking in college at the University of Oregon and NYU. After graduating she worked at a fine-art screenprinting studio in Brooklyn, New York for three years before taking time off to travel and work as the studio assistant for art workshops at craft schools across the US. Since moving to Utah she has embraced her love of plants; working in the greenhouse at the local botanical garden, and as a landscape designer. She now works full time as an artist, selling her work at local markets, teaching classes, and doing custom commissions.
Anna does all of the illustration, printing and dyeing herself. She created Anna Bugbee Studio as a way to share her botanical illustrations and love of the mountains. Her work features local wildflowers, pollinators, and mountain scenes inspired by her adventures in the Wasatch and beyond.
