Whimsigoth Larson
Whimsigoth Larson is the next chapter for Moxie and Lace. I’ve sold fiber art and patterns for 13 years with this shop. During that time I’ve grown and adapted as an artist and I’m using this rebrand to expand my shop and to represent my transformation into a well-rounded multi-media artist. I’ve changed my actual name, so I thought I’d change my shop name too.
I chose the name Whimsigoth Larson because, to me, it means embracing and integrating nuanced expression - the nostalgia, the whimsy, the romance, the macabre, and the beauty of life and death or decay. Often, the confines of our circumstances (be they talent, time, materials, etc) become the voice of a work of art. Sort of like how shortcuts in animation are part of what makes a cartoon iconic. I wanted to pick branding that showed all of these competeing forces working in harmony.
Here you’ll find paintings, patterns, tarot readings, and more. My biggest goal is to get physical prints and cards put up soon. I also have some zines I’ve made to sell. And I’m hoping to find some witchy supplies to offer as well. I’m also leaving my crochet patterns up because I worked very hard on those and am still quite proud of them.
