Der kreative Prozess…
Der Prozess ist ziemlich spontan und organisch, alles kommt aus dem Gefühl.

Ich bin eine autodidaktische Schmuckdesignerin. Ich skizziere, aber die meisten Ideen kommen mir erst an der Werkbank. Ich mache einen Ring oder einen Ohrring, und daraus ergeben sich die anderen Stücke der Kollektion ganz natürlich …
Wesentlich für mich ist der authentische Ansatz, die Verbindung im kreativen Prozess und die sehr innige Beziehung, die ich zu jedem meiner Werke habe. Das verleiht meiner Arbeit Bedeutung. Ich glaube, dass Dinge, die langsam entstehen, authentischer und intimer sind.
Da Ethik und Nachhaltigkeit für mich zentrale Werte sind, sind die von mir ausgewählten Metalle soweit wie möglich recycelt oder stammen aus Fairtrade-Produktion. Die Steine und andere Vintage- oder Upcycling-Elemente wurden sorgfältig ausgewählt und aus ethischen Quellen bezogen. Transparenz in der Lieferkette ist für fundierte Entscheidungen unerlässlich.
Ich wurde in Paris geboren, bin aber in Asien und den USA aufgewachsen. Meine Reisen und alles Schöne inspirieren mich, aber auch das vielfältige antike Kulturerbe beeinflusst mich. Antiker Schmuck, Archäologie und die Anthropologie des Schmucks interessieren mich ebenfalls sehr. Ich stelle mir vor, wie ein Schmuckstück über Kulturen hinweg, durch Zeit und Raum, mehrere Bedeutungen hat.
Meine kleinen Talismane wie die Zikade, der Löwenkopf, der böse Blick und das Horn sind alles kleine Symbole des Schutzes oder der Ermächtigung, die diese kulturelle Resonanz widerspiegeln.
Manchmal stoße ich auf ein Originalartefakt, ein Vintage-Element – sei es eine alte Münze, ein Vintage-Casino-Chip, ein römisches Bronzefragment oder ein Stein –, das mich inspiriert, und ich weiß, dass ich ein Stück darum herum bauen muss. Ich liebe die Idee, einem Objekt ein zweites Leben zu geben, das nie als Körperschmuck gedacht war.
Schließlich fertige ich jedes Stück einzeln in meinem Heimstudio mit Geduld, Respekt und Liebe an, denn ich bin davon überzeugt, dass authentische Schöpfung Integrität in der Herangehensweise und persönliches Engagement bei der Arbeit selbst erfordert.
Heute sind wir uns mehr denn je bewusst, dass alles, was wir tun, Auswirkungen auf unsere fragile Umwelt hat, und dies erfordert von uns, auch auf symbolische Weise, ein neues Verantwortungsbewusstsein.

I am a self-taught jewellery designer. I sketch but most of the times ideas come up when I’m at the bench. I will make a ring or an earring and from there the other pieces of the collection just come together naturally…
Essential to me is the authentic approach, the connection in the creative process, the very intimate relationship I have with each piece I create infuses meaning into my work. I believe things made slowly are more genuine, more intimate.
With ethics and sustainability as a core value, the metals I choose to work with are all recycled or from Fairtrade origin as much as possible. The stones and other vintage or upcycled elements have been carefully selected and ethically sourced. Transparency in the supply chain is essential to make informed choices.
I was born in Paris but grew up in Asia and the States and while inspired by my travels and anything beautiful really, I am also influenced by diverse ancient cultural heritages. Ancient jewellery, archeology or the anthropology of jewellery interests me a lot too, how a piece holds multiple meaning across cultures through time and space.
My little talismans like the cicada, lion head, evil eye, horn, are all little emblems of protection or empowerment that reflect this cultural resonance.
Other times, I come across an original artefact, a vintage element, be it an old coin, a vintage casino chip, a roman bronze fragment, or a stone which triggers my inspiration and I know that I must construct a piece around it. I love the idea of giving a second life to an object that was never intended to be worn as a body adornment.
Finally, each piece is made by me in my home studio, one at a time, with patience, respect and love, because I believe that authentic creation requires integrity in the approach, and personal commitment in the work itself.
Today more than ever, we realize that everything we do has an impact on our fragile environment, and this requires from us, even in a symbolic way, a new sense of responsibility.
