bmpPolitics by Chill Recharge Privacy Policy
This bmpPolitics by Chill Recharge by Brenda Moffitt Photography Privacy Policy was last updated on March 26, 2025, and describes how and when bmpPolitics by Chill Recharge collects, uses, and shares information when you purchase an item from my shop, you contact me, or otherwise use my services through Etsy.com or its related sites and services.
This Privacy Policy does not apply to the practices of third parties that I do not own or control, including Etsy, any print-on-demand partner, mailing list services provider, or any third party services you access through Etsy. You can reference the Etsy Privacy Policy to learn more about its privacy practices. If you buy a print-on-demand item or join my mailing list, read the provider’s privacy policy.
Sharing and use of your data.
I do not sell your data to others. Except as described below, I do not knowingly share your data with others. Unless you have expressly opted-in to my mailing list through a third-party website, I will not use your information to contact you unless you contact me first or I have a specific question about your order.
My use.
I may use the information that Etsy provides to me, including some personally identifiable information such as your name or username, together with your city and state location information, if available, for reasonable and ordinary business uses. Reasonable and ordinary business uses include but are not limited to analyzing favoriting and buying patterns of my products, which I use to improve my marketing, targeting, advertising, social media, conversion, and outreach efforts. For example, I might want to know if people who favorited an item returned to purchase that same or another item, or to analyze the general physical location of people who buy my products, or to determine what time ads are most likely to convert to sales. That data and analysis information may be contained on spreadsheets or other digital files, may be stored on a laptop, hard drive, or well-known cloud service, or other device along with other business information, and may occasionally be printed for my review. I use the same efforts to safeguard your data as I use to safeguard my other marketing and targeting business data.
I may from time to time use Etsy Analytics, and/or third-party services, such as Google Analytics, to collect and use non-personally identifiable information about how you came to my Etsy shop or my other affiliated websites. More information about the use of those services is below.
Print on Demand and Other Partners.
I use third party partners for print-on-demand orders. Their shops are integrated into Etsy services, so Etsy shares with them the information collected about your order, including your name, address, possibly your billing information, and other information necessary for the third party partner to process, print, and ship your order as well as process refunds or exchanges, if required. The name of the third party partner I use for that listing, if any, is included in the listing. Each third partner has their own privacy policy. You should read that policy before ordering.
Collecting your data.
When you buy a bmpPolitics item.
When you buy an item from the bmpPolitics Etsy shop, you authorize Etsy to collect, use, and share information necessary to complete your transaction. Etsy passes some of that information on to me as the shop owner, which may change from time to time in accordance with Etsy’s policies.
As of the date of this bmpPolitics privacy policy, when you place an order from my shop, Etsy shares with me:
* Your user name
The real name you gave Etsy
Your shipping name and address
* The city, state, and country location you gave Etsy
* Your email address
* A link to your public Etsy profile
* That your item was purchased via Etsy Payments or other form of payment (but no specific payment information)
For digital downloads, the date that you downloaded your digital files from the Etsy server
When you favorite a bmpPolitics item or like the bmpPolitics shop.
When you favorite an item in my shop or like my shop, Etsy shows me your public user name and provides a link to your public profile. That is the only information I receive and can see.
Etsy provides a service to sellers that sends promotional emails to people who have liked an item and opted-in to receive those emails. While I set certain parameters for the promotion, Etsy exclusively controls who receives those emails and the timing of the emails. I do not know who they send those emails to, or see your contact information, including your email, or the emails themselves. If you have questions about receiving promotional emails, please review the Etsy privacy policies and contact them with any questions.
When you contact bmpPolitics.
If you contact me about one of my products or about your purchase, via Etsy, email, or at my physical address, I will use Etsy or the contact information in your correspondence to respond to your inquiry. If you contact me via Etsy’s messaging system about an order, Etsy shows me your username name and the ship-to name and address for your item.
When you download bmpPolitics purchased, licensed digital items from Etsy or a third-party server.
Items downloaded from Etsy. Some items, such as digital postcard PNG files, are downloaded directly from Etsy’s servers and I can see the date on which you downloaded your item(s). For large items such as high resolution JPGs or PDFs, I can see the date you downloaded the instructions from Etsy’s servers. I cannot see your IP address or other information except as disclosed in this privacy policy.
Items downloaded from a third-party server. Items, such as high resolution JPGs and PDFs, are too large to be downloaded via Etsy and must be downloaded via a website on a third-party server. That third party server will collect the information it needs in accordance with its privacy policies to deliver the downloadable files to you. Depending on where you live, that third-party server may ask you if it can collect cookies. Those cookies may include a Google Analytics cookie. When you download via the third party server, I may see your IP address and which files you downloaded. I do not see your other contact information.
Collection and use of Etsy Analytics, Google Analytics, and other tracking data.
Etsy Analytics. As further detailed in Etsy’s privacy policies, they provide me with tracking information that is not tied to specific accounts or users. That tracking information tells me things such as whether users arrived at my items through an Etsy ad, a social media site, or a different mechanism. I use that information to make reasonable and ordinary business decisions, such as analyzing how to improve my shop, or determine my Etsy ads budget and where to devote my marketing time and money.
Google Analytics and similar data. From time to time, I may use Google Analytics to track how a user arrives at, and whether a user goes from, bmpPolitics.com, or other domain name I own, to Etsy or another linked website or vice-versa. I may also use Google Analytics to track how users arrive at the website or third-party server I use to store large digital files that you can license for downloading. The data I receive from Google Analytics does not include personally identifiable user information.
Social media data. Some social media sites, such as Pinterest, provide some personally identifiable information such as the user names and public profiles of people who pinned, favorited, or liked an item, all in accordance with their then-current privacy policies. They also may provide some non-personally identifiable information, such as the number of people who clicked a pin for an Etsy item and visited the item on Etsy.
Mailing List Data. From time to time, I may include a link in my listing information, on my shop, or on one of my linked websites or social media for people to expressly opt-in to a mailing list run by me using a third-party provider of mailing list services. That mailing list may be specifically for the subject of the bmpPolitics Etsy site, or it may cover multiple topics. Users must expressly opt-in to a mailing list and opt-in to the mailing list’s providers policies including its privacy policy. If you expressly opt-in to a mailing list, you will have the opportunity to opt-out of the mailing list. I will never automatically add you to a mailing list because you have purchased from the bmpPolitics shop or favorited an item or favorited the shop. If you choose to expressly opt-in to a mailing list, I will use your information in accordance with the then-current terms of the mailing list privacy policy.
