1993 5th grade. The first lessons of labor.
I didn’t really like construction, drawing, but the choice of fabric and tailoring really excited me. I remember we sewed an apron, a half-sun skirt, a nightgown.
The summer has come. I took out a notebook for work, found the construction of shorts, made a pattern of shorts for my size. Cut it.
But! The sewing machine was not at home. But I really wanted to go out for a walk in new white shorts.
I decided that I would not wait for anything and no one and sewed the shorts by hand.
When I went out into the street in new shorts, there was no limit to my happiness and pride in myself.
In general, the moral of this fable is this: when you really want something, then no obstacles stand in the way. And if we lack something all the time: time, inspiration, a new sewing machine, then we don’t want it so much.
