Makerboard was founded by two people, Sakha and Rizal. Sakha handles most of the design and craftsmanship, while Rizal focuses on electronics, including firmware development, PCB design, and soldering.

About Sakha
My journey began with curiosity and a love for art and design.
Since I was a child, I’ve always been fascinated by how things are made. I loved taking broken items apart just to understand how they worked, especially transparent objects that revealed their inner mechanisms. That curiosity never left me—it simply grew.
As I got older, life led me down a difficult path. There was a time when I couldn’t find a job, and I also needed to care for my disabled father. I had to find a way to make a living from home. I tried many things, from reselling and dropshipping to selling online game items, but none of them truly worked or felt right.
Everything changed when I discovered custom mechanical keyboards. I instantly fell in love and decided to design my own. I learned 3D modeling and worked with a CNC manufacturer to produce my first design. While it was a great learning experience, I realized I wanted more than just designing—I wanted to make things myself.
So I taught myself manufacturing. Even though professional machines were far beyond my budget, I built and modified my own equipment. Most of the machines in my workshop today are unbranded and self-built, created through years of experimentation and persistence.
After nearly eight years of learning and building, I now run a small home workshop where every product is thoughtfully designed and carefully made. Each piece you see here reflects my journey, my hands-on process, and my passion for craftsmanship.
Thank you for supporting small, independent makers.

5 out of 5 starsThe quality of the item is top class, Aluminum case for the actual board, 3D printer case for storage or travel which is also very high quality. The stand for the board aswell as the arms you attach is aluminum. The base of the stand got some serious weight to it and with the anti slip soft padding for the base, will make this hard to move around while typing which is really good in my opinion. Ohh and the magnetic attachment for the board is fantastic. Chefs kiss! It matched the description and my expectations.
