J’ai commencé Etsy comme un moyen d’obtenir de l’argent supplémentaire pour ma famille. J’étais autrefois une mère au foyer. Mon autre boutique Etsy The Thread Junky est devenue populaire, mais faire des bracelets d’amitié peut prendre beaucoup de temps avec très peu de récompenses. Cependant, à l’époque, tout valait mieux que rien.

Environ un an après les bracelets d’amitié, je suis entré en contact avec le fil de t-shirt. Au début, j’ai commencé à l’acheter, puis j’ai pensé à quel point il serait moins cher de me faire moi-même. J’ai appris moi-même à crocheter et j’ai trouvé un tutoriel sur la coupe de fil de t-shirt. Après avoir fabriqué quelques tapis, j’ai essayé de vendre le fil coupé. C’était très populaire.

Après de nombreuses années passées à la maison avec mes enfants, j’ai enfin pu retourner à l’école et terminer mon diplôme d’enseignement. J’ai obtenu mon diplôme en mai 2016 et j’ai tout de suite trouvé un emploi en enseignant aux élèves de 3e année! Pendant l’année scolaire, mon approvisionnement est peut-être limité, mais les étés seront pleins de fabrication de fil!

I started Etsy as a means for some extra money for my family. I was once a stay at home mom. My other Etsy shop The Thread Junky became popular, but making friendship bracelets can be very time consuming with very little rewards. However, at the time anything was better than nothing.

About a year after friendship bracelets I came into contact with T-shirt yarn. At first I started buying it, then thought how much cheaper it would be to make myself. I taught myself to crochet and found a tutorial on cutting t-shirt yarn. After making a couple rugs I attempted to sell the cut yarn. It was very popular.

After many years of staying at home with my children, I have finally been able to return back to school and finish my teaching degree. I graduated in May 2016 and got a job right away teaching 3rd graders! During the school year, my supply may be limited, but summers will be full of yarn making!
