Il y a quelque chose de vraiment captivant dans la poterie.
La texture douce et fraîche de l'argile, le potentiel illimité de créer tout ce que votre imagination peut concevoir. La magie de transformer la boue en quelque chose de précieux.
Si vous faites une erreur, il existe d’innombrables possibilités de recommencer à zéro.
Tout commence par une idée, puis vient la conception, la mise en forme, le séchage de 7 jours, le biscuitage, l'émaillage, la cuisson de 16 heures et le refroidissement. L'attente d'ouvrir enfin un four chaud pour voir ce que les dieux malicieux du four ont réservé à vos créations ressemble presque à Noël. Il y a un sentiment de gratitude et de surprise et tellement de joie lorsque vos attentes sont dépassées.
Tout cela, et bien plus encore, est la raison pour laquelle je suis passionnée par cet artisanat. Je m’entoure de choses qui me rendent heureuse et j’espère pouvoir apporter cette même joie aux autres. Je crois que l’ambiance réconfortante créée par les matériaux naturels et l’artisanat traditionnel est inestimable et constitue un élément clé pour améliorer la qualité de vie.

If you make a mistake, there are endless opportunities to start anew.
It starts with a thought, then the design, the shaping and forming, 7 day drying, bisquing, glazing, 16 hour firing and cooling. The anticipation of finally opening a warm kiln to see what surprises the mischievous Kiln Gods bestowed upon your creations almost feels like Christmas. There’s a sense of gratitude and surprise and so much joy when your expectations are exceeded.
All of this, and so much more, is why I’m passionate about this craft. I surround myself with things that bring me happiness and I hope to provide that same joy to others. I believe that the comforting ambiance created by natural materials and traditional crafts is invaluable, and a key element in enhancing quality of life.
