Hallo! Ich bin Kathy – die Gründerin von Knots of Connection und Stitches With Stories. Stitches With Stories entstand aus der Überzeugung heraus, dass handgefertigte Stücke mehr als nur Wolle und Fasern sind – sie tragen Bedeutung in sich. Jedes Projekt beginnt mit einem bestimmten Zweck: etwas Besonderes für dein Zuhause, ein kuscheliger Schal zum Einkuscheln, eine Tasche, die dich im Alltag begleitet, oder ein Geschenk, das du für einen lieben Menschen anfertigst.
Mit der Zeit wurde mir bewusst, dass handgefertigte Stücke nicht nur Geschichten erzählen – sie verbinden uns. Sie verbinden uns mit den Menschen, für die wir sie anfertigen, mit den Häusern, die wir gestalten, und mit dem Komfort, mit dem wir uns umgeben. Sie verbinden uns auch mit unserer Gemeinschaft. Deshalb unterstütze ich mit meiner Arbeit auch wohltätige Projekte und Anliegen, die anderen Menschen Geborgenheit und Unterstützung schenken.
Dieses tiefere Verständnis inspirierte den Namen Knots of Connection (Verbindungsknoten).
Während Stitches With Stories also den Macher hinter den Kulissen repräsentiert,
Knots of Connection ist der Ort, an dem all diese bedeutungsvollen Kreationen zusammenkommen.
Jedes Stück wird mit Herzblut, Hingabe und der Hoffnung gefertigt, dass es Teil Ihrer Geschichte – Ihres Zuhauses – und Ihrer Beziehungen, nah und fern, wird.
Hi! I’m Kathy — the creator behind Knots of Connection and Stitches With Stories. I started with Stitches With Stories because I’ve always believed handmade pieces carry more than yarn and fiber — they carry meaning. Every make begins with a purpose: something special for your home, a cozy shawl to wrap around yourself, a bag that becomes part of your everyday life, or a gift created with someone you love in mind.
Over time, I realized that handmade pieces don’t just tell stories — they connect us. They connect us to the people we create for, to the homes we shape, and to the comfort we surround ourselves with. They also connect us to our community, which is why part of my work supports charity projects and causes that help others feel cared for and supported.
That deeper understanding inspired the name Knots of Connection.
So while Stitches With Stories represents the maker behind the scenes,
Knots of Connection is the place where all those meaningful creations come together.
Every piece is crafted with warmth, intention, and the hope that it becomes part of your story — your home — and your connections, near and far.
