Mother and Son Duo who are using thier joint talents to bring you some amazing art work
My mom, Robyn has been decorative painting for several years. She has had her designs and art work published in several magazines, and has had multiple books published while her and her business partner had the decorative painting company, Sugar Brushes.
I have grown up and admired his mother's artwork. I started painting when I was very young and would attend art shows with my mom, selling canvas ornaments and other small painted things. I have worked in several different mediums over the years and in 2007 started working with Polymer Clay. I had made a couple things when I was younger, but then let the medium slip away. I made Christmas ornaments for my family and decided that I really enjoyed working with the product and it took off from there!
In 2011 after changing jobs, My mom and I sat down and discussed going into business together..... well more of me pushing her into it! We knew we had great ideas and if we put them together we could do great things. That is when A.R.T. Designs came into play. (A.dam and R.obyn T.homas Designs)
Over the last 5 years we have worked together to come up with several lines of characters for our foot stools and T-shirts, and we are constantly bouncing ideas back and forth on new ornaments and clay products.
We have sold our products in local art galleries in the Detroit Metro Area, and now want to expand the business. We have had a blast building our Etsy store over the last year and are excited to see all the places our artwork is going.
