Geeky Gamer Girl Makes Elegant Gemstone Jewelry.
Étant un type créatif (lire, « pas un entrepreneur naturellement organisé »), je fais des bijoux de temps en temps depuis près de quinze ans maintenant (WOW! Je me sens soudain très... TRÈS vieux.) J’ai commencé à perler pendant mon séjour en tant qu’employé d’une bijouterie personnalisée locale à l’âge de 18 ans. Au fil du temps, mon métier a évolué (et continue d’évoluer) pour devenir ce que vous voyez aujourd’hui.
Auparavant « Paz Kallah Designs », j’ai fait des pièces avec des inspirations bibliques. Ma pièce signature était les chokers inspirés du tzitzit, qui se déclinaient en plusieurs variétés.
Un changement s’est produit dans mes conceptions lorsque je travaillais sur l’intégration de matériaux réutilisés. Mon mari réparait des systèmes de jeu et j’ai trouvé des boutons restants d’une vieille PSP. J’ai commencé à jouer avec du fil de fer et des pierres et j’ai emballé un joli petit morceau. Il se trouve que j’ai regardé le blog Sing-along de Dr. Horrible pendant que je travaillais, et à la fin, je me suis dit « Felicia Day serait fière! » Alors que je commençais à me concentrer sur mes créations vers des pièces plus geek, j’ai décidé que je voulais que Felicia Day ait cette première pièce que j’avais faite. Elle était devenue ma muse, et je voulais l’en remercier.
Non seulement Felicia Day possède maintenant la toute première pièce inspirée d’Accessoires d’anomalie, mais elle n’est qu’UNE des « Saintes Trifecta-à-têtes rouges-de-Nerdiness » à posséder l’un de mes designs originaux - rejointe par les rangs de déesses geek telles que Marian Call et Jill Pantozzi!!!
Being a creative type (read, "not a naturally organized entrepreneur" ), I've been making jewelry on and off for almost fifteen years now (WOW! I suddenly feel very... VERY old.) I began beading during my stint as an employee of a local custom jewelry store when I was 18. Over time, my craft has evolved (and still IS evolving) into what you see today.
Previously "Paz Kallah Designs", I made pieces with Biblical inspirations. My signature piece was the tzitzit inspired chokers, which came in several varieties.
A shift happened in my designs when I was working on integrating repurposed materials. My husband was in the business of repairing gaming systems, and I found some left over buttons from an old PSP. I started playing with wire and stones and wrapped up a lovely little piece. I happened to have been watching Dr. Horrible's Sing-along Blog while I worked, and upon completion, I thought to myself "Felicia Day would be proud!" As I began shifting the focus of my designs to more geeky-inspired pieces, I determined that I wanted Felicia Day to have that first piece I had made. She had become my muse, and I wanted to thank her for it.
Not only does Felicia Day now own the very first inspired piece of Anomaly Accessories, but she is but ONE of the "Holy Hot-Red-Headed-Trifecta-of-Nerdiness" to own one of my original designs - joined by the ranks of such geek goddesses as Marian Call and Jill Pantozzi!!!
