I was a fashion major in college though after graduation I worked as a congressional aide on Capitol Hill for 12 years. When our family moved to Texas I became a stay at home mom and have been for the past 'mumble-mumble' years.

In the latter part of 2012 I had an idea for a necklace; I searched and googled and didn't find anyone making monogrammed necklaces or bracelets using my idea. This shop or any type of entrepreneurial endeavor was not planned but I thought "why not" and opened up Aren't You Cute.

I am always on the search for unique items that would look nifty with your initials. For instance while dorm shopping with my daughter in the summer of 2013 I got the idea for the ring dishes now found in my shop. My ring dishes and jewelry items have been featured in numerous blogs and in ALL YOU magazine.

A recent addition to my shop are my vintage European bicycle license plate cuffs...a great cuff bracelet has always been my favorite accessory and when I spotted the vintage license plates my first thought was "this would make a fabulous cuff!" The license plates that I use are an upcycled product that before it turned to a life of fashion, was attached to a bicycle touring the streets and countryside of Belgium. Because the plates used on my cuffs began their life in service, and they are vintage, they do show some degree of age and use. The vintage character just adds to the fabulousness of the pieces.
