About

I believe that jewelry is just as much art as a painting, and it provides self-expression suitable for any situation.

My name is Stephanie L. Swogger and it's a pleasure to introduce myself to all of you.

I grew up in the small Ohio town of Brookfield, where I first began experimenting with amateur jewelry. Anything I got my hands on, I turned into wearable art. These things included normal bead work, all the way to headphone cords and random "junk" found in the woods. Since my time in grade school, I've been using these eclectic items to express my personality in ways that sometimes only I understood.

While attending higher education at Thiel College, then the Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science, I began my journey with higher quality materials. I produced hundreds of semi-precious stone and sterling silver pieces over the years, many of which went to private collections.

So how did I get into sea glass? In 2013, left my amazing position as an Ohio licensed funeral director and embalmer in Dayton, to enlist in the U. S. Navy as a Navy Mortician. During my time in Cuba and Guam, I discovered the true beauty of sea glass. I'm taking ocean "junk" and turning it into something beautiful that can be worn. It's just like grade school and those headphone cords again. Turning someone's trash into wearable art, only an a professional level.

It is my sincere pleasure to make my art available to the world, and I hope it continues to be cherished by all!
