Alle Produkte im Laden werden mit der Wolle aus unserer Herde von Jakobsschafen handgefertigt, mit Ausnahme von kleinen Mengen an sparsamem Garn und farbigem Roving. Wolle ist natürlich isolierend, natürlich antibakteriell und natürlich flamm- / blitzhemmend, was sie perfekt für den täglichen Gebrauch in Haus und Küche macht.
Meine Familie hat Jacob Sheep fast 30 Jahre lang in der Gegend von Wisconsin Driftless immer wieder aufgezogen. Jakobsschafe sind eine bedrohte Erbrasse, die für ihre bunten Flecken, Hörner und Haltung bekannt ist. Unsere Herde hat sowohl braune als auch lila / graue Individuen, die alle Arten von natürlichen Farbkombinationen bieten.
Meine Farbkombinationen und Inspiration sind das Ergebnis einer wilden Kindheit der 80er / 90er Jahre und als Ornithologe / Biologe für viele Jahre in Hawaii, Alaska, Jamaika und dem Südwesten. Ich habe viel Zeit an abgelegenen und wilden Orten verbracht, was viele meiner Designs beeinflusst hat.
All the products in the shop are handmade with the wool from our flock of Jacob Sheep, with the only exclusions being small amounts of thrifted yarn and colored roving. Wool is naturally insulating, naturally anti-bacterial, and naturally flame/ flash retardant making it perfect for everyday use items in the home and kitchen.
My family has raised Jacob Sheep on and off for almost 30 years in the Wisconsin Driftless area. Jacob Sheep are a threatened heritage breed known for their multi colored spots, horns and attitude. Our flock has both Brown and Lilac/Grey individuals providing all sorts of natural color combinations.
My color combinations and inspiration are a result of a 80's/90's feral childhood and being an ornithologist/ biologist for many years in Hawaii, Alaska, Jamaica and the Southwest. I have spent a lot of time in remote and wild places which has influenced many of my designs.
