Ich habe schon immer gerne Dinge gemacht. Nachdem ich mein erstes Kind bekommen hatte, eröffnete ich meinen ersten Etsy-Shop, Acrylic and Steel, um die Kunst zu präsentieren, die ich seit Jahren auf Lager hatte, und die handgeschmiedeten Messer, die mein Mann herstellt. Ich wollte jahrelang in der Lage sein, Siebdruck zu machen, bevor ich die Materialien kaufte, die ich brauchte, um dieses Geschäft zu starten, aber aus irgendeinem Grund war ich besorgt, dass ich es nicht tun könnte. Ich hatte endlich den Mut, es auszuprobieren und gab zu meinem Geburtstag im April 2010 etwa 100 US-Dollar für Siebdruckzubehör aus (ich habe mir 2009 den Namen des Shops ausgedacht, was das Eröffnungsdatum ist, das in meinem Laden angezeigt wird) Ich dachte, es wäre ein lustiges Hobby, aber bevor ich es wusste, nahm mein Laden Fahrt auf. Jetzt mache ich das Vollzeit. Ich habe das Glück, in Stoßzeiten Hilfe beim Versand und anderen Büroaufgaben zu haben. Es ist unglaublich befriedigend, wirklich zu lieben, was ich beruflich mache, und ich liebe es, ein einzigartiges Produkt für meine Kunden herzustellen.

I have always liked to make things. After having my first child I opened my first etsy store, Acrylic and Steel to showcase the art I had been stockpiling for years and the hand forged knives my husband makes. I had wanted to be able to screen print for years before I purchased the materials I needed to start this business, but for some reason I was worried that I would not be able to do it. I finally got the nerve to try it and spent about $100 on screen printing supplies for my birthday in April of 2010 (I came up with the shop name in 2009, which is the open date that shows in my store) I thought it would be a fun hobby, but before I knew it my shop took off. Now I do this full time. I am lucky to be able to have help with shipping and other office tasks during busy times. It is amazingly gratifying to really love what I do for a living, and I love making a unique product for my customers.
