Reflecting the Beauty Around Me

I was always drawing as a child and taught myself to paint while I was in college. When I started my career as a teacher and mother, I found little time to take out my paints. I was a special education teacher for 36 years, retired and started painting soon afterward. The eagle painting was my first, painted for my husband.
I love to paint animals, landscapes and portraits. I love reflecting the beauty of nature in acrylic paints. Here in Harrison, AR, there is beauty all around me. My favorite landscape is the Buffalo River with its clear waters and majestic bluffs. I hope to inspire you to protect these precious rivers, streams, mountains, cIiffs and all the flora and wildlife that live there. Without nature and its beauty how can we hope to refresh our spirits and inspire our art. I hope you like what you see in my acrylic paints selection.
