I am a busy mama of 3 boys! The name of my shop is Creating Still Moments, because as the business of life, family, and jobs set in, so does the CHAOS. Finding ways to Create precious and STILL moments to just sit Still and be “in god’s Presence has become increasingly important to me. Creating beautiful rosaries is a way for me to find that quiet inner peaceful time in which to reflect on the beauty and importance of each rosary I make and how it will hopefully bless whoever purchases it. My love for the rosary and its meaning dates back to my childhood before I was even a member of the Catholic church. I was born and raised in a Protestant church and attended Catholic schools for 12 years, so the church has always been an important part of my life. I received my first rosary at 7 years old when all Catholic children in my 2nd grade class were going thru their 1st Communion/Reconciliation classes in our local Catholic school. I remember being so overwhelmed with the beauty of the colorful beads and what they represented. I asked my mother to please let me get one. I remember she allowed me to buy it even though we weren’t Catholic. I picked out a beautiful bright Pink plastic beaded rosary that I still have today! I learned all the prayers along with my Catholic classmates and loved using and carrying my rosary. In my 30s, I was continually drawn to the Catholic faith and went thru RCIA. The rosary continues to be a special part of my faith formation, so learning to create and share rosaries of my own making has been a special and therapeutic part of my own development as Christian and Catholic.
