Creating Beauty from Yarn
I was taught to crochet by a wonderful German neighbor when I was about 8 years old. She tried to teach me to knit but I failed terribly. Learning to knit is on my Bucket List though. I absolutely love taking a skein or hank of yarn and creating the perfect hat to keep you warm, a beautiful photo prop for your little one or a one of a kind gift for your best friend.
I make each creation with my own two hands and a hook after finding the perfect yarn. I absolutely love bright colors and soft squishy yarn....crocheting makes me happy! I hope to one day teach my granddaughters to crochet and possibly have them work with me. My second creative outlet is sewing. My grandmother was a professional seamstress and I was mesmerized by her creativity. She never had a chance to teach me to sew but she inspired me to learn to sew and realize that I had the ability to create something beautiful from raw materials.
