About

The Earring Cafe is Amanda Glanville: maker of the miniature - glass beads

It all began with being allowed to play with the sparkly sugar in my Gran's sugar bowl as a very little girl. I'm afraid I've been drawn to twinkly stuff ever since...

Returns and exchange details
If there are any problems with your order please contact me as soon as possible (before leaving feedback!) so that I can try and resolve them.

Once you have received a reply from me, I'll instuct you about returning the item to me for a replacement / full refund along with your postage costs where applicable. It is advised that you obtain the minimum of a certificate of posting from the Post Office (or overseas equivalent) as I cannot be held responsible for goods lost in transit.

I am happy to exchange or credit/refund for any items you are not satisfied with if you notify me by convo or email of your decision on receipt and the items are returned immediately and no longer than 7 days after receipt unused, in their original sealed packaging in perfect condition for resale. Please quote your original order number on the package.

Please note that any return postage is your responsibilty.

I operate within the key EU Distance Selling Regulations of returns, which for any reason, are acceptable within 7 days and have applied to this to worldwide purchases ie not just to those destined for the EU.

Payment
Here on Etsy I accept Paypal payments only. You can pay via credit card using Paypal without setting up an account. Check out www.paypal.com for more information.

Payment is due when you place your order.

http://www.etsy.com/help_guide_checkout.php

Tiny glass stuff will be posted after Paypal tells me your payment has been received and cleared.

If you're not sure - just give me a shout!
Shipping
Most orders will go in the post within 1 - 2 working days (Mon - Fri) of receiving notification of cleared payment from Paypal for your order.

Postage for orders under £50
I send all orders under £50 by uninsured Royal Mail post to help keep the prices down.
For the UK this is at a flat rate of £2.00 and slightly higher for other parts of the world.

Postage for orders over £50
For orders over £50, they will be sent insured Royal Mail post.
For the UK this is £7.95 and is higher for other parts of the world.

Insured orders are trackable and will need a delivery signature. The Royal Mail gives approximate guidelines for delivery times (2 days to UK and EU, 5- 7 days for the rest of the world) but these times are not guaranteed, only guidelines, and of course may be affected by local issues such as the odd strike and public holidays!

And don't forget that if you are outside the EU you may be liable for customs duty/import tax on delivery - please check this before you order to avoid a bit of a shock.

If you would prefer me to send your order by a different method please GET IN TOUCH BEFORE YOU ORDER. I'm happy to chat!

Everything is sent out carefully packaged and in perfect condition - unless clearly stated (eg in the case of sample or trial pieces). If you find your purchase is faulty, please contact me within 7 days of receiving it, clearly stating the problem.
Additional policies and FAQs
Descriptions / photos / sizes etc are as accurate as possible. Please allow for slight difference in colour on different computer screens.

One off designs / Part of a range
Most of my pieces are made as part of a range. This means I have created an original design which I repeat each time someone orders it.
Some times pieces are a one off design.

Please read the description for each listing to see which applies.
Part of a range designs will have unique very slight differences. I have photographed an example piece in most circumstances - to photograph every single piece I make would not make selling in this way viable.

You can request me to send you a photograph of what I have in stock if you are concerned, however I would do this anyway if there are options (eg I have two in stock or the glass has reacted to give a slightly different effect).
The nature of my work means you will not get a carbon copy each time, and 99% of people understand and like this.

Occasionally they don't! So if you think a unique piece isn't for you, you might want to think again about ordering. If you have ordered and you're concerned please see the returns information above. Always contact me first to see if there is a way to resolve it without adding to the profits of the postage companies!

Packaging - Everything will be carefully packed and wrapped within an inch of it's life with padding (I am trying to limit my use of plastic) and acid free tissue, then packed into padded envelopes or boxes. I try and recycle packaging where possible, but any gift wrapping underneath the padding will be brand new.

Feedback - I leave positive feedback on receipt of your feedback once we know your package has arrived safely and you are happy with your purchases.

Please contact me about any queries or problems, however small.
