Why is the wood grain lighter or different then what is shown on listing?
Every piece of art we create is unique based on the wood grain profile and the light/dark from the burning process. Due to the nature of wood and our process, every piece will be unique in contrast wood tone and grain texture. Each product’s overall appearance will differ due to the variations in the wood grain, laser burn (which may include hazing), cleaning process, batch of coating, etc.
Can I hang my piece outside?
Technically, yes. Our pieces are able to be hung outside. However, we say they are water and weather-resistant, not water and weather proof. Meaning direct sunlight and rain could damage the piece overtime. It can cause knots to come through and wrapping to occur. We, however, are not responsible for any damages that may occur to the piece, as we do prefer them to be hung in a dry and climate controlled areas.
Do we offer a First Responder discount?
Yes, we do. Please message us for the discount code!
Gift wrapping and packaging
No, we do not put the pricing of the piece on the box. We only have our logo and shipping label on the box.
What counts as a customization? Do I still need to pay the fee for one change?
You can create a whole new design or add/ remove anything from an existing design: including adding an icon, locations, names, a quote, etc Whatever speaks to you!
Yes, any changes to an original face design requires the full payment of the custom fee.
I placed a custom map, when will someone reach out?
Our design team will reach out via email once they get to your order and will send you a proof via email (from our designer) to review for approval within 3-5 days. If you do not hear from them, please reach out!
How are the maps made?
We start with a natural pine board it is then painted, laser engraved, washed, and inspected to ensure the quality of your piece. Once it gets the green light we topcoat, hardware and package it up and out the door it goes!

Our maps are made out of New Zealand Radiata Pine
What is your refund/ exchange policy?
Fire and Pine’s creative team starts with a blank piece of wood and turns it into beautiful wall art with small, intricate details created through our unique burning process. We have a team that works closely with our customers to carefully create a quality end product.
We do not issue refunds and exchanges nor do we replace artwork once production starts.
If your product was shipped to you with damages, or lost in transit, please let our customer service team within 60 days and we will process your claim and get back to you on next steps
Do you offer Expedite Shipping
Unfortunately, we are not able to offer expedite shipping on any orders. As each piece is "made to order". However, please reach out if you have any concerns and we can try to accommodate.
