It began with a doodle

✨ Welcome to GeekSwank! ✨

Here you will find my kooky completed cross stitch and embroidery designs. These patterns are also available as DIY kits or as PDFs for instant download. Custom embroidery designs are available on a case by case basis.

I also created a password journal at a third-party printer, which I can customize for you... there didn't seem to be a need to create a separate shop for this.

✨ The story! ✨

I started cross-stitching when I was very young, maybe five or so. Every time I would go into a hobby shop, I would check out the pattern books and kits to see if there was anything I would want to make for myself or my friends.

Many *many* year later when I was in a meeting at the office, I was doodling on a sheet of graph paper. Somehow, I ended up making a cross-stitch pattern... which I later stitched and had framed.

I had been doing this for a while, giving my original one-of-a-kind finished pieces to friends as gifts when I was commissioned by a co-worker to do a custom piece.

Since doing that was so much fun, I started this shop. And here we are.

Erica created this shop to sell the creations she LOVES making, but really didn't know what to do with once finished. Seriously, how many Jayne Cobb hats could her friends and family in Texas possibly use? Still... sigh... they're so shiny.

  • Tauntaun

Tauntaun is a rescue kitty who has made great contributions to this shop. He keeps his owner from doing any actual needlework by attacking her needle's dangly string. She has been forced to embroider with stealth.

Delays In Production Possible

My bookmaker's print facilities have occasionally experienced delays in production. They are continuing to print and ship books, but expect COVID-19 countermeasures to impact print and delivery times. I have increased the estimated production and shipping times on my listings accordingly.

As for my completed cross stitch kits, I have increased the production time to 1 to 2 business days. Please also note that the USPS is experiencing a delay in the mail as well.
