from island inspiration to city living.
Ich male und zeichne seit Jahren, habe mich aber schließlich 2009 entschieden, meine Kunstwerke auf Etsy zu teilen. Ich lebte mit meinem Mann auf Hawaii und brauchte ein kreatives Ventil, während er im Einsatz war. Ich habe die handgemachte Community lieben gelernt, als ich mich mehr auf Etsy und meinem Blog engagiert habe.
Seitdem sind wir nach Florida und jetzt nach Boston gezogen und haben unserer Familie einen glücklichen Jungen hinzugefügt. Ich habe ein paar Ladenpausen gemacht und jedes Mal, wenn ich wieder öffne, ist mein Stil ein wenig anders. Ich liebe es zu sehen, wie ich im Laufe der Jahre gewachsen bin, wenn ich auf die VERKAUFTEN Artikel meines Shops zurückblicke und neue Kunst zum Teilen kreiere.
Jetzt kreiere ich von meinem Studio im dritten Stock unseres Hauses in Boston. Ich sammle Inspiration von den kunstvoll detaillierten Häusern in unserer Straße, den unzähligen Bauernmärkten und lokalen Gerichten und dem Sonnenschein, der genauso hell zu leuchten scheint wie Hawaii.
I've been painting and drawing for years, but finally decided to share my artwork on Etsy in 2009. I was living with my husband in Hawaii and needed some creative outlet while he was deployed. I grew to love the handmade community as I became more involved on Etsy and my blog.
Since then, we've moved to Florida, and now Boston and we've added a happy baby boy to our family. I've taken a few shop hiatuses and each time I reopen, my style is a little different. I love seeing how I've grown over the years, as I look back through my shop's SOLD items and as I create new art to share.
Now I'm creating from my studio on the third floor of our Boston home. I'm gathering inspiration from the ornately detailed homes on our street, the myriad of farmer's markets and local fare, and the sunshine that seems to shine just as bright as Hawaii.
