Ich esse, schlafe, atme, lebe und repariere.
Eine meiner ersten Reparaturen betraf eine gebraucht gekaufte Nintendo Wii. Als ich sie nach Hause brachte, funktionierte das Laufwerk nicht, aber ich wollte die Konsole nicht einfach wegwerfen. Zu diesem Zeitpunkt wusste ich so gut wie nichts über Reparaturen und begann zu recherchieren, wie man das Teil austauscht. Schließlich stieß ich auf YouTube auf einige Videos eines Streamers namens „Odd Tinkering“. Ich fand die Videos faszinierend und irgendwie entspannend – sehr ASMR. Ich habe mir das Wii-Reparaturvideo unzählige Male angesehen und es nachgemacht, während ich die gleiche Reparatur an meiner Wii durchführte.
Am Ende hat es geklappt. Die Wii war repariert und weckte ein neues Interesse in mir, das ich vorher nie gehabt hatte. Ich gehörte definitiv zu den jungen Leuten, die nie wussten, was sie tun wollten. Ich kaufte mir ein paar Werkzeuge und baute meine Reparaturen mit einem kleinen iFixit-Set auf einem Fernsehtisch in meinem Wohnzimmer auf. Heute bin ich Inhaberin von Infinite Lives LLC, einer Werkstatt hinter meinem Haus. Wenn ich nicht gerade Konsolen repariere, die mir aus den ganzen USA zugeschickt werden, kümmere ich mich um alle Reparaturen in einem anderen lokalen Unternehmen. Ich liebe meine Kunden und es macht mir Freude, etwas, das jemandem lieb und teuer ist, wieder zum Leben zu erwecken.
Mein Wissen wächst ständig und ich liebe Herausforderungen. Ich kann Gameboys bis hin zur PS5 reparieren und werde immer mein Bestes geben, um die nächste Reparatur für meine Kunden zu lernen.
I eat, sleep, breathe, live repair.
One of my very first repairs was on a Nintendo Wii console that I picked up second hand. When I brought it home, the disc drive didn't work, but I didn't want to just throw the console away. At this point, I knew next to nothing about repair, and I took to researching how to replace the part. Eventually I cam across some videos on YouTube by a streamer named "Odd Tinkering". I found the videos to be fascinating, and relaxing in a way; very ASMR. I watched the Wii repair video countless times and followed along while I performed the same repair on my Wii.
In the end it worked. The Wii was fixed and it sparked a new interest in me that I had never had before. I was definitely one of those younger people in life that never knew what they wanted to do. I bought a few starter tools and went from repairing with a small iFixit kit on a TV dinner stand in my living room, to now owning Infinite Lives LLC which runs out of a workshop on the back of my home property. When I am not fixing consoles that are sent in to me from across the states, I am managing all the repairs out of another local business. I love my customers, and it brings me joy to bring back to life something that someone has cherished.
My knowledge is ever growing, and I enjoy a challenge. I can repair Gameboys to the PS5, and will always do my best to learn the next repair for my customers.
