After working 12 years in a stressful job that wasn't for me, I decided that it was time to make a change. I ran away from that job in January of 2007 and I haven't looked back. Luckliy without much of a plan, things have fallen into place.

These days, I work from my farmhouse workshop in rural northwestern Pennsylvania making jewelry from pewter and copper. I can look out my window and see my horse in the pasture and my dog Kalli supervises daily happenings in the studio. The beauty of nature and animals are things that inspire me. My work is rustic and many of my pieces incorporate an earthy hand hammered texture. I love what I do and I feel very lucky to be able to work from home.

I'm not really that into social media. I don’t have a Facebook page, a Twitter account or a blog. I am on Pinterest and Instagram, but I'm not very good at keeping up with them. You can find me on both of those @kdemartejewelry.
