Market Linen was created when our shop owner - Kelley - realized how many people love linen but are nervous to buy it as it has a reputation for being an expensive + difficult textile.
She set off to find a way to make linen easier to own. By gathering linen samples from countless suppliers and testing each one she learned that linen is much stronger than most people initially believe. After testing many options she found a linen that is just the right weight for home use - one that can be washed and steamed to a supple yet durable finish.
While planning each piece of bedding in our collection she took great attention to detail and tried to solve many of the issues found commonly in the massed produced market.
For instance, we serge all inside edges on pillows and duvets in order to ensure the edges don't fray on the inside as each item is used. We decided to use a zipper on our duvets to make them easier to use with your comforter. Details like these are often overlooked by the mass producers.
As each item is made to order we are able to customize each piece if the client has special requests. Think of our products like finely tailored clothing for your bed. Each person has a unique set of components assembled to make their perfect recharging spot - the bedding should be made to fit.
