How it all began...
Welcome to the Out Back Craft Shack!
Ric started woodworking many years ago in a small detached garage - this became the "Out Back Craft Shack" when he 'reclaimed' an old wooden swingset seat and routed the name into it. Check out the picture above to see it.
Then life happened - school, scouts, sports, etc. took most of our time, so we weren't able to devote much time to the wood shop.
With the kids now grown, we are able to get back to the shop. We produce a few of our items from reclaimed and salvaged wood: barn wood, pallets, shipping crates, etc. We only use Heat Treated "HT" pallets and shipping crates - never anything that has been chemically treated or used to haul chemicals. Some of our signs and such are created from 'new' wood which we may distress to create the shabby / vintage / aged look.
Both of our sons have joined the team, and they have been great additions.
We enjoy making hand painted signs, and since Toni loves the beach, we tend to do a lot of beach themed products. :-) We also create jewelry organizers, earring holders, Mason jar boards (with and without hooks), clothespin picture display boards, distressed signs, Christmas stocking holders, trees, and a few other items.
We enjoy doing custom work as well. Click the blue "Request Custom Order" button to begin the process.
We plan to continue adding listings, so please check back to see the new stuff!
Out Back Craft Shack is a U.S. veteran owned and operated company.
Thanks,
Ric and Toni
