Wood Design | Apothecary | Brass Jewelry | Record Crates | Handmade Wares
Here you will find work by two makers, Sean and Lisa. Sean makes reclaimed wood frames, record crates, wooden storage boxes, hand-built custom pieces and furniture! Lisa makes vintage bookpage necklaces, book ornaments, altered book artwork and accessories.
You can find our work featured at the brick and mortar, online and at a number of shops throughout the US as well. Please feel free to get in touch if something you see strikes your fancy. We love taking custom requests for record crates, jewelry pieces, custom furniture, framing, retail store build-outs, artwork, seasonal ornaments and more!
Our brick & mortar Paperish Mess, is a storefront and art gallery located in Chicago's Ukrainian Village neighborhood. The shop is a retail space showcasing original artwork in a variety of mediums and styles, as well as handmade goods and wares by independent artists. We also feature rotating art shows, gallery installations and community events on a monthly basis!
It’s a two-person team, one visual artist/jewelry maker/curator (kind of paperish) & one musician/designer/woodworker (kind of messy). We are artists & makers ourselves– we love to support and grow the work of independent artists and we also have a blast being two (out of 75!) of the artists that we feature at Paperish Mess.
