Meine Arbeit ist inspiriert von der Natur und ihren Prozessen. So wie die Natur Lebewesen erschafft, indem sie eine große Anzahl von Grundelementen (wie Partikel und Zellen) zusammenfügt, entsteht meine Kunst, indem sie viele verschiedene Teile (wie Punkte oder Formen oder Farbblöcke) zu einem organischen Ganzen zusammenfügt.

Biologische Mechanismen sind in ihrer Komplexität schön: Von den Kräften, die es einem Protein ermöglichen, sich zu sammeln, oder dem Netz von Kreaturen, die ein Ökosystem bilden, verlässt sich die Natur auf ein Netzwerk einzelner Entitäten, um ein Ganzes zu schaffen. Gleichzeitig ist alles um uns herum ganz einfach: Wir sind alle nur Partikel, die kunstvoll zusammengesetzt wurden, um das Leben zu erhalten.

Nichts kann in einem Vakuum existieren – auch nicht Kunst. Deshalb liebe ich den partizipativen Aspekt der Arbeit, die ich erschaffe: Jede Person, die sie sieht, kann sie interpretieren, wie sie möchte. Für mich ist das der Zeitpunkt, an dem meine Arbeit zur Kunst wird. Ihre Vorstellungskraft erweckt meine Arbeit zum Leben.

My work is inspired by nature and its processes. Just as nature creates living things by assembling a large number of basic elements (like particles and cells), my art is created by piecing together many distinct pieces (like dots or shapes or blocks of colour) into an organic whole.

Biological mechanisms are beautiful in their complexity: from the forces that allow a protein to assemble or the web of creatures composing an ecosystem, nature relies on a network of individual entities to create a whole. At the same time, everything around us is quite simple: we are all just particles artfully composed to sustain life.

Nothing can exist in a vacuum — including art. That’s why I love the participatory aspect of the work I create: every person who sees it can interpret it as they like. To me, this is when my work becomes art. Your imagination brings my work to life.
