Patterns and Tones is open for business!
Patterns and Tones is a blog page I established in February 2013 as a vehicle to share images and stories from my vast image Archives as well as a place to showcase my newest work.
I have been photographing the underground rock and roll scene, which I have since called The Underground Glitterati, since I was 17 years old. I also photograph images of objects that speak to me, from Oak Trees and Fotomats, to Beach Huts and Zonkeys.
For years, I worked as a professional photographer shooting for record labels, weekly style and music magazines shooting portraits of bands, fashion designers, as well as other creative and unusual taste makers.
There are times that I create my own world to explore the visual narratives that I seek to illustrate. From "Toyland", an adult circus and toy fantasy, to my first children's book "The Dolls Adventures in England", I hope to provide others with a visual feast and a play-land in which to explore.
I now create a yearly photographic series, focusing my energy on producing a body of work that pushes my boundaries allowing me to fully explore the concepts that come up during the production process.
This year will see the completion of "Fleeting Perspecitves: A Paper Ballet" and will be available at the beginning of 2014.
Next year I will be producing the series "A Day in the Life of A Rock and Roller", documenting those who embody the spirit and drive behind the tempo of Rock and Roll.
By opening this Etsy shop, I wanted to be able to provide a selection of my images at a reasonable price outside of the gallery walls for my loyal readership.
I look forward to hearing from you!
All my best,
Julie Pavlowski Green
