5 out of 5 starsAbsolutely beautiful, just the right amount of “rugged” while still being elegant. The information included with the bracelet around the provenance of the pearls is incredible and really elevates the whole quality experience of the gift. Lovely execution of the gift note as well. Highly recommend!

5 out of 5 starsI've so far purchased three exquisite pieces from Perla Mundi for my wife— the Tahitian single pearl leather necklace, the elegant Tahitian pearl leather bracelet with 3 pearls, and most recently, the stunning Tahitian pearl earrings crafted with leather and sterling silver. The first two acquisitions, bought several years ago, are worn daily. The pearls have retained their lustrous appearance, and the leather has gracefully weathered time. Each item arrived impeccably packaged, giving a feel of quality. There was an issue with La Poste, but Sofie quickly responded to messages and was very helpful with lodging a complaint. Perla Mundi has truly exceeded expectations, and I couldn't be happier with my purchases as they have become cherished gifts.

Pearls :
To keep all your Tahitian cultured pearls shine, wear them as often as possible!
Avoid contact with chemicals such as perfume, bleach, shampoos, etc.
Highly resistant, Tahitian pearls can get scratched by abrasive objects / materials.
They are cleaned with a soft cloth, they can be rubbed with olive oil.
If you store them for a long time, place a small container of water at their side, so that they are always hydrated.
Leather :
You can grease it with: shea butter, natural bees wax for leather, olive oil.
When it becomes dry and hard, feed it quickly.
Can I bathe / shower with my jewel (pearl (s) and leather)?
Yes, you can wear your necklace in the shower, in the sea ... avoid if possible in very very chlorinated pools! Whatever water you go into (sea, shower or swimming pool), there is no problem but remember to rinse the pearl (s) and the leather under fresh water afterwards, wipe it / them with a soft cloth then and regularly oil the leather.
How to recognize a real pearl from a fake?
-The temperature: the fancy pearl takes the ambient temperature while the true cultured pearl of Tahiti, Australia ... will always be a little cooler. Put it under your nose and realize!
- The weight: the false pearl is often lighter while the real pearl is quite heavy.
- The texture: the fantasy is all smooth while the cultured pearl is rough. By rubbing two pearls against them, we can determine its texture. You can also put it on your teeth!
- The shape: the false pearls are all identical whereas the real pearls are unique by their peculiarities!
-The quality: the fantasy is flammable while the real pearl is not.

What means the pearls classification ?
The classification concerning the surface quality of cultured pearls of Tahiti is:
Category A: Pearl with at most one imperfection or group of light imperfections concentrated on not more than 10% of its surface. Very beautiful luster.
Category B: Pearl with some slight imperfections concentrated on at most 30% of its surface. Chandelier beautiful or medium.
Category C: Pearl with slight imperfections concentrated on not more than 60% of its surface. Medium chandelier.
Category D: Pearls with either slight imperfections on more than 60% of the surface, without deep imperfections, or light and deep imperfections concentrated on not more than 60% of its surface. Luster weak.
What mean the luster and orient of a pearl?
The luster of a pearl is the measure of the quantity and quality of light that is reflected by the surface of a pearl or just under the surface of a pearl. The more your reflection in the pearl is sharp, the higher the luster.
The luster of a pearl of good quality is clear and bright. A pearl that appears too white, dull or limestone, is of low quality.
The orient of a pearl is the way in which the prism of natural light breaks down in the depths of a pearl's aragonite layers. This iridescence gives the pearl all the brilliance that will be sublimated by reflections of colors that go from white to black in shades of cream, pink, blue, peacock green, purple and gold.
