The thrill of the hunt, an eye for the past, and a mind on the future.
Judith Ponsonby was my Father's mother. In many ways, my love for vintage manifested from my fascination with her and her life. She was a passionate environmentalist, and some of my earliest and fondest memories are of conversations with her about the earth around me and how important it is to take care of it. I learned the thrill of a thrift hunt from my mother, who taught me about fabric and spotting good quality. Her favorite was silk, and I think of her every time I add something silk to the shop. What began as an outlet for cool finds grew into a space where I can offer people an alternative to fast fashion. As such, my mission is to offer competitive prices, and to do what I can to make vintage accessible, while still feeding my lil family.
I like to specialize in variety, (a bit of a paradox I know). Here at Ponsonby's you can find anything from classic vintage staples for the modern gal's wardrobe to pieces truly unique and funky. Whether you would like to dress as a walking time piece, or just want to spice up jeans and a t-shirt with a vintage cardigan, you have come to the right place. :-)
Like a lot of vintage sellers, I am a one woman army when it comes to this shop (with occasional help from loved ones to model clothing). I handle every aspect of running the shop so if you have any questions, concerns, or just wanna chat with a fellow vintage lover, drop me a line. I do my best to be prompt with my responses.
Love and all that jazz to you beauties, and thank you for taking the time to read this.
