Always dreaming and creating...
Chibi, " I didn't think I'd continue this clay making or decoden since I tend to change my artistic hobbies quite a bit. Before this I was baking lots of sweets, heehee. I wanted to make something for my best friends who had no significant other for Valentine's Day, and also something non-edible so they can keep it as a reminder that I love them. I was playing Kingdom Hearts II at that time and thought paopus would be nice! I honestly did try to find the actual fruit in stores, but no dice. I looked through DeviantArt and saw some clay stuff and thought it was cool. I decided to craft with clay and use my own little spice to the paopus. My friends were happy and loved it! I had a few extra from the batch so I sold some on Ebay and more locals.
People were raving about it and told me to try to make this and that. I actually liked it and had fun doing all these things. With the awesome results and sweet encouragements, I decided to open a small shop on MySpace. The amount of people inquiring was amazing! Soon I moved to Etsy and met wonderful crafters~ After awhile I decided to make a personal site for the items, kind of like a catalog (on Weebly) and where people who didn't want to sign up with Etsy can buy there. I've also made a Facebook page and have lots of people watching and commenting on my up coming work. It's all very nice~
My biggest day and for IK was actually being at Artist Alley of AnimeExpo 2012! Big thanks to MugiBunny/FairytaleBoutique for the wonderful last minute opportunity. During this time, I learned to love my outcomes on items and myself. I've always see my items as not so great and ugly, but the amount of compliments and smiles I got at the convention changed my view on my shop as a whole. Since that day I hope to bring more smiles!
Today I am juggling fulltime work and the adult life. But sometimes there's time for a little escape when my creativity sparks! I hope my new works to come bring smiles to the world who view and/or purchase. To all the artists/entrepreneurs out there, do not give up on your dreams. Keep creating and reaching higher. You are unique and talented."
