An Urban Farm and Homestead
My husband and I live in an urban neighborhood. We own our own house and the small bit of land that the house sits on. Our entire property is 1/9 of an acre measuring 39ft by 107ft. On our property and in our home we do our best to make use of our space and to live more sustainably. We have gardened our property entirely. Stuffed onto our property are all manner of fruits, herbs, and veggies. We have chickens and we compost and of course we raise and breed beautiful English Angora Bunnies. The manure produced by our bunnies and chickens goes straight to the garden so we can raise more fruits, herbs, and veggies. The wool grown by my bunnies is sold here. Everything sold in my Etsy shop is created in partnership with my well-loved bunnies. This is our version of an Urban Farm and Homestead.
In my Etsy shop, the Pure Angora Knits that I sell are truly handmade from beginning to end by me. Each piece that I make is crafted meticulously to be something that will last. My creations should be thought of and cared for as would a fine piece of jewelry made from precious gems and metals. Rather than metals or gems it is made with one of the finest and rarest fibers in the world. Unfortunately, most Angora items available on mass are from unhappy rabbits in factory farms, where the living conditions and quality of the wool is much much lower. It's also very rare to find 100% Angora items. Most only contain a small percentage. My pieces are made from 100% English Angora wool. I do not mix my bunnies wool together so each item is made using only the wool from one bunny and I provide a picture of the bunny who's wool was used for each listing. My adorable rabbits are very happy, well loved, and cared for. Their happy lives show through in the quality of the wool they grow. It is amazingly soft, beautiful, and warm.
Please keep in mind that your purchase from my shop helps support this amazing heritage breed of rabbit. It's not just wild animals that are at risk of extinction, but domestic animals as well. It takes breeders like me and customers like you to keep these adorable and fluffy animals around.
