Unbelievably stunning piece of craftmanship! The time, care and expertise that went in to creating this bench is clearly evident. Very simple to put together - shipped in 3 pieces that fit like a puzzle. It was the finishing touch my garden needed. Cannot recommend enough!

This bench is very well made and fits perfectly in our entryway. We love it! Also it was packaged extremely well and arrived safely.

This is our second purchase of a custom sized bench made by Matt at RealSimpleWoodLLC. Just like our first purchase, he created the bench using a full Shou Sugi Ban finish, creating an entirely black bench. This one is 76” long and sits in front of our fireplace. It arrived strongly packaged with zero chance of shipping damage. All excellent quality hardware was included which, once again, allowed for an easy installation of the three pieces (2 legs + bench top). This is an exceptional piece of functional art. Just gorgeous. The finish is satiny and a comfortable place on which to sit. Side note: It smells amazing!

Lovely bench. Sturdy and balanced. Perfect for a place to put on/take off shoes on the porch. Beautiful aesthetic.

Matt made a custom bench for us which was 60” long and completely done in the Shou Sugi Ban style. He completed and shipped it in exactly the timeframe given and, with the highest compliment per my husband, this beauty was packaged like it could have been airdropped from 20k feet! It was actually sent in two parcels: The main seating area in one and legs in the other. Screws and an allen wrench were included, and assembly was quick and easy (less than 5 minutes). Our intention is to place it outside, but we were so smitten, we brought it inside to check it out by our fireplace and, whadaya know, it’s striking there too. So now we need another one — or two, or three, or four.
