College Sports Art--University art prints by renowned artist Richard Russell. Official Artist of the 2016 Yellow Daisy Festival at Stone Mountain, Georgia rated as one of the top three shows in the country. Russell's works currently hang in museums across America (including the NFL Hall of Fame in Canton, OH). Beautifully painted renderings of many of your favorite Universities!

Relive the glory days with a canvas by artist Richard Russell

My artistic journey began in 1975, and continues to evolve to this day! In all those years, my only job has been that of an artist and gallery owner. My grandmother was an artist, and gave me supplies to get started. I am self taught and have never lost the desire to continue to experiment and learn new things. I describe my work as Leroy Neiman meets Normal Rockwell, with a splash of Jackson Pollack. When it comes to my subject matter, it does not get any better than painting athletics! After all, the first art ever recorded, was wall art drawn on cave walls. The depictions of the hunt are not much different than todays sporting events. My personal feeling is that my work is not all about the game itself; rather, it is cherishing the moments spent there. My best memories with my Dad were going to the games. I had my first stiff drink there, as well as took my first date there. That is why we call them the glory days! I am blessed to do what I love.
