Forty plus years making pots, how fortunate is THAT?
I went to Bennington College to study painting in 1983 but when I saw the ceramics studio my life changed. I would have been a terrible painter anyway. After several years of study and an apprenticeship I went full-time into pottery in New Hampshire in 1997, moving to upstate NY in 2006. Although I have taught pottery in elementary and high school and at the open studios of University of Illinois-Chicago and Cornell University, my focus has always been on making bright and fun pottery. Clay is infinite and I love exploring all the possibilities.

5 out of 5 starsBest cup ever- had bought one in Ithaca, NY and was in love, so when it dropped and broke- I was very thankful that the artist’s name was on the bottom!
