Shoe House Studio
I am very fortunate to have a studio at my home in Florida, where I can work surrounded by my six sons. I call my business Shoe House Studio, because of the nursery rhyme The Little Old Woman That Lived in a Shoe. There are always kids in my studio.
I have a large kiln, many shelves of glaze and a ton of family support. My children, bright colors, antique lace, the ocean and little critters in nature inspire me.
I have had my pottery business for fifteen years. Before working with clay, I was a muralist. I enjoy creating ceramics, because I can still use my skills as a painter. I strive to make each piece an original work of art to be worn, baked in or displayed. I create functional ceramics that people will love to own or love to give as gifts.
When I say my pottery is made with love, it truly is. I LOVE what I do. It is important to me to teach my children to be hard working, passionate, creative and follow their dreams.
