Sol Desharnais ist bekannt für seinen "outside the box" -Ansatz beim Design. Er verleiht natürlichen, nachhaltigen, recycelten oder upgecycelten Materialien eine neue Bedeutung. Von seiner schönen Heimatstadt St-Pierre-Jolys, Manitoba, aus schafft er kunstvolle und nützliche Objekte durch die geschickte und unwahrscheinliche Verbindung von Materialien.
Durch seine starke Yoga- und Meditationspraxis und seine Verbindung zur Natur hat Sol mehr Bewusstsein und Bewusstsein in sein tägliches Leben gebracht. Seine achtsame Herangehensweise an das Entwerfen wird auch immer deutlicher, da seine Arbeit zunehmend respektvoller gegenüber Menschen, Tieren und der Erde ist.

Sol glaubt, dass der Kreis uns einschließt und lädt uns ein, hineingezogen zu werden und Teil der Erfahrung zu werden.
Sol Desharnais is known for his “outside the box” approach to designing. He brings new meaning to natural, sustainable, recycled or upcycled materials. From his lovely hometown of St-Pierre-Jolys, Manitoba, he creates artful and useful objects by the clever and improbable association of materials.
Through his strong yoga and meditation practice and connection to nature, Sol has been bringing more consciousness and awareness to his daily living. His mindful approach to designing is also becoming more apparent, as his work is increasingly more respectful of people, animals and the earth.
Sol has also lived in France for 12 years, which might well explain the European twist to his designs.
Apart from his design work, Sol is also a land art and contemporary artist. In all of his work the circle is a recurring theme, his sacred space. With the circle he explores the notions of inclusion, wholeness, unity and the spiritual meanings around the circle. Sol believes the circle includes us and beckons us to be drawn in and become part of the experience.
