SOBRE EL ENVÍO: Muchos vendedores en línea afirman ofrecer "envío gratuito". Sin embargo, para cualquier empresa que opere en los EE. UU., el "envío gratuito" no existe. No nos dedicamos a ofrecer envíos gratuitos; el precio de nuestros artículos cubre nuestros costos de tiempo y materiales, y además cobramos un cargo de envío razonable. De hecho, el costo del envío está aumentando tan rápido que generalmente perdemos alrededor de $1 por venta. En otras palabras, si cobramos $7, el costo real del envío para nosotros es de aproximadamente $8 (o más). Llevamos vendiendo en línea desde 1999, pero si algo nos hace abandonar la venta en línea, es el costo del envío; simplemente se está convirtiendo en una situación sin salida.
Ofrecemos esta explicación simplemente para que comprendan lo que está sucediendo, tanto para nosotros como para miles de otros artistas y artesanos en línea.

ABOUT SHIPPING: Many online vendors claim to offer "free shipping" ~ for any business operating in the USA, there is no such thing as "free shipping". What that vendor did was raise the price so the customer pays for shipping that way. It does seem to be true however that people selling items from China are actually getting "free shipping", so it begs the question, "how is that possible"? The answer likely resides in the fact that China owns much of this country's $40 trillion dollar debt, so in all likelihood they can negotiate little or no shipping costs for their companies with the US Postal Service.
We do not play the "no shipping" game ~ our item price covers our time & materials costs, then we charge a reasonable shipping charge on top of that. In fact, the cost of shipping is rising so quickly we generally find we are losing about $1/sale on what we get ~ in other words, if we charge $7 the actual shipping cost to us is around $8 (or more). We've been selling online since 1999, but at this point if anything drives us away from online selling, it will be shipping ~ it is simply becoming a no-win situation.
We offer that explanation simply so you understand what is going on, for us and thousands of other online artists & craftspeople as well.
