Der Maler, Designer und Bildhauer Daniel Stapleford hatte das Privileg, Medaillenbildner unter Gilroy Roberts, Chefbildhauer der United States Mint, der den Kennedy Half Dollar modellierte, zu studieren. Mit weitreichenden künstlerischen Interessen hat Herr Stapleford in einer Vielzahl von Kunstformen Anerkennung gefunden. Seine Gemälde historischer Gebäude sind in der Middletown, Pennsylvania Library ausgestellt. Er hat Medaillonskulpturen für die Vereinten Nationen, die American Numismatic Association, die National Governors Association und die American Bicentennial Commemorative Society gemacht. 1987 gewann Herr Stapleford zwei Preise für Wildgeflügelholzschnitzerei in einem weltweiten Wettbewerb. Im Genre der Kleinplastik und Münzprägung ist Daniel Stapleford international bekannt. Zu den Werken, die er entworfen und geformt hat, gehören Bronzetafeln und Münzen des Reiches, darunter solche für Guam und Trinidat und Tobego. Er hat auch Modelle von historischen Autos, Flugzeugen und Schiffen entworfen und geformt. Neben seinen künstlerischen Aktivitäten genießt Herr Stapleford das Studium der Geschichte und interessiert sich besonders für die Geschichte der amerikanischen Ureinwohner.
Painter, designer and sculptor Daniel Stapleford privileged to study medalist sculpture under Gilroy Roberts, chief sculptor of the United States Mint, who sculpted the Kennedy Half Dollar. With wide ranging artistic interests, Mr. Stapleford has won acclaim in a variety of art forms. His paintings of historic buildings are on permanent exhibit at the Middletown, Pennsylvania Library. He has done medallic sculptures for the United Nations, the American Numismatic Association, the National Governors Association, and the American Bicentennial Commemorative Society. In 1987 Mr. Stapleford won two awards for wildfowl wood carving in a worldwide competition. In the genre of small scale sculpture and minting, Daniel Stapleford is internationally renowned. Among the works he has designed and sculpted are bronze plaques and Coins of the Realm, including those for Guam and Trinidat and Tobego. He has also designed and sculpted models of historic cars, planes and ships. In addition to his artistic pursuits Mr. Stapleford enjoys the study of history and is particularly interested in Native American history.
