I guess when the Big Man has plans for you...he'll let you know. Once upon a time I was a paper-pushing, latte'-sipping, number-crunching, spreadsheet-loving, ladder-climbing, corporate America-breathing, General Managing, working fool. I was on my way to.. probably just more work.
Then 9 months and one day later, it all changed. His name is Crew.
That day time stood still. I saw the things that I once loved (work, work, and more work) as a distraction. I honestly haven't looked back since.
Don't get me wrong... there are a lot of ink-wasting, computer-crashing, head-scratching late nights long after baby Crew is off dreaming of milk and mommy hugs. And admittedly, I now know more about porous paper, printing margins, and UV coating than I ever wanted to know. But luckily I get sit next to my son while doing it. And this, my friends, is what makes it all worthwhile.
And best of all, I truly have the greatest customers ever. They all feel like old friends.--And I am happy to be even a small part of their big events.
