This passion began as a child when I saw a huge doll's house (I was 8.... it seemed huge!) in the Kirkgate Victorian Street, in York. Since then, I have an absolute fascination with everything tiny. It was another 20 years before I had my own dolls house and since then it has become my greatest passion! I made items in the mid 1990's but as I also had a full time job, I couldn't devote the time needed to create miniature delights. Things have changed now and I have the time to create wonderful pieces for doll's houses or shops. I also sell on Ebay.co.uk under "vhminiatures" and occasionally I also exhibit at fairs across northern England and Scotland.
Most of my items are One of a Kind which means I may make another similar item, but not exactly the same. All my items are signed where space permits. I love my work and I am sure you will too.
I pay a great deal of attention to detail and an item must be really good to make it into my own dolls house or shop, therefore, if it is not good enough for me, then I won't put it up for sale. After 25 years, I have become quite picky about the quality I expect for my money and so should you.
Due to time constraints and life in general, I can only accept the occasional commission and only if it is based on an item I already create. I'm afraid it is not cost effective for me to design and create a new item from scratch.
HEALTH AND SAFETY
The dolls house miniatures sold via these pages on the Etsy website are collectors' items and are not suitable for persons under the age of 14 years. The items are for adult collectors. The items are not CE regulated as they are not "toys". When you purchase items from Unique Miniatures on Etsy, you undertake that you have read and understood this.
