Welcome to our shop!
Im a mother of 3 amazingly energetic boys, my oldest was diagnosed with 9-p deletion syndrome when he was a month old. 9p deletion syndrome is a very rare chromosomal disorder affecting 1 out of 50,000 new borns. He was transported from mainland NJ and helicopter lifted to CHOP in Philly.
The medical machines on the helicopter started to fail midair so they went on and took on his needs Hands on.
When I was finally released from the hospital I rushed to chop where 5-6 specialist pulled me and my mother into a conference room to discuss his condition.
he had fluid in his lungs and in his brain, they continued to tell me that my son will never be able to walk, talk or live normally. To say the least I was devastated not at the fact that he was different but the fact he predetermined his fate without giving him a chance.
A month and a half in the hospital going from cooling pads to heating pads, ventilators, a million wires everywhere and feeding tubes.
When the time came to bring him home the word terrified was an understatement, within the first month of him being home I felt determined to give him a good life and over come obstacles.
Taking classes to learn about NG tubes, the dangers of aspiration, feeding studies and sooner G-tubes.
After getting his G-tube surgery at 6 months old and non stop physical therapy, he is now 5 years old just started walking the spring of 2025 and trying to say words.
he still struggles with things his brothers can do but that motivates him to try harder everyday.
My second son was diagnosed with ODD and ADHD at 2 years old, I decided to take a different route and have him enrolled in DI therapy (behavioral therapy). After a year of consistent therapy he graduated and enrolled in school that focus on the same therapy's. don't get me wrong everyday is a challenge however its more manageable now.
I opened this shop to spread awareness that DIFFERENT IS BEAUTIFUL! not everyone understands certain disabilities and that's okay! But learning is a step closer to teaching our children and each other about differences.
With that being said We just want to spread awareness, kindness and happiness where we can! while supporting and showing love to people that work hard and don't get recognition for it don't worry boo! we see you! and you MATTER!
