Earth Friendly Fashion
Where Clothes sprungit ur en kärlek till att skapa och en passion för miljön. Min avsikt är att motverka modeindustrins skadliga relation till miljön och mänskligheten. Genom att använda återvunna material undviker Where Clothes att bli en del av föroreningar från tygfabriker och orättvist arbete.
Även om du inte är modeintresserad är kläder något vi tänker på varje dag. Tyvärr står modeindustrin för en skrämmande stor del av världens föroreningar, för att inte tala om den orättvisa behandlingen av arbetare. Where Clothes mål är inte bara att ge människor ett oemotståndligt alternativ som de kan känna sig bekväma med att bära, utan också att öka medvetenheten om kraften i återanvändning och återvinning.
Jag startade min butik 2009, medan jag arbetade på en skivaffär och undervisade i konst. Jag är så tacksam för mina tidigare erfarenheter och allt de har lärt mig, men under årens lopp har jag flitigt sytt och lärt mig så att jag kan driva min linje på heltid.
Jag älskar också att vara på catwalken, så med hjälp av mina vänner Nick och Matt på Angioplasty Media och MSR Presents startade jag "Crosswalk: A Fashion Show Styled by Sound" i juli förra året. Det är en årlig modevisning med indiedesigners och modeller som går till livemusik på catwalken. Bäst av allt är att 100 % av intäkterna går till Committee on Temporary Shelter, en organisation i Vermont som tillhandahåller bostäder, mat och utbildning till hemlösa.

Where Clothes sprung from a love of creating and a passion for the environment. My intent is to counteract the fashion industry's detrimental relationship with the environment and humanity. Using upcycled materials allows Where Clothes to avoid being a part of fabric mill pollution and unfair labor.
Even if you are not into fashion, clothes are something that we think about every day. Unfortunately, the fashion industry accounts for a frighteningly large amount of the world's pollution, not to mention the unfair treatment of laborers. Where Clothes' goal is not only to provide people with an irresistible option that they can feel good about wearing, but also to raise awareness about the power of reusing and recycling.
I began my shop in 2009, while working at a used record store and teaching art classes. I am so thankful for my past experiences and all they have taught me, but over the years I have been diligently sewing and learning so I can run my line full time.
I also love being on the runway, so with the help from my friends Nick and Matt at Angioplasty Media and MSR Presents, I began "Crosswalk: A Fashion Show Styled by Sound" last July. It is an annual fashion show featuring indie designers with models walking to live music on the runway. Best of all, 100% of proceeds go to the Committee on Temporary Shelter, a VT organization that provides housing, food, and education to the homeless population.
