Born from a Love of Timeless Treasures
I grew up in Germany, where I developed a deep appreciation for craftsmanship, quality, and timeless design.
As a teenager, I spent an entire summer vacation rescuing and restoring an antique Vertiko that my father believed was beyond saving. It was covered in layers of paint and riddled with nail holes, yet I knew there was a beautiful piece waiting to be revealed. After many hours of stripping, sanding, and refinishing, it became one of my most treasured possessions. When I emigrated to the United States, I shipped it with me, and today it still has a place of honor in my home in Arizona.
That restoration shaped the way I look at things and taught me to appreciate the quality, beauty, and value of well-made items.
Over the years, my love of vintage treasures continued to grow, and eventually I decided to share that passion by opening XclusiveDesigns.
That same appreciation for quality and craftsmanship is the foundation of XclusiveDesigns. I carefully select vintage pieces, create handcrafted soaps, and enjoy combining vintage treasures with my own original creations.
I began making soap because I have very sensitive skin. I wanted to create a simple soap made with certified organic oils, butters, and botanicals, free of artificial fragrances, dyes, fillers, and other unnecessary additives. Calendula, prickly pear cactus, chamomile, aloe vera, and many of the other botanicals used in my soaps are grown organically in my Arizona garden.
More than 20 years later, I still make every batch the same way, using the traditional cold process method, with only the occasional hot process soap.
