A long time ago in an imagination far, far away....
Adraftee started with an idea, Christmas on a budget and Jurassic Park 2.
Well they're the ingredients to all clothing companies I hear you cry! Well shush, because I'm telling the story. Thanks, I'll begin.
After introducing my then girlfriend to the Jurassic Park Trilogy for the first time, she became a little bit infatuated with dinosaurs. So with Christmas on a budget, I got some materials together and Google'd the theory of whatever I was unsure of and came up with a T-Rex stencilled scarf for her.
My friend Dan then wanted the same print on a T-shirt, and more and more people wanted more and more things.
Doing this gives me a chance to draw and create, which I love so much. I hadn't used my skills as much as I wanted to in the past, and then I started selling online and that gave me the opportunity to see if the rest of the world was after anything randomly bespoke.
The card side of Adraftee came from an advent calendar which I drew each day leading up to Christmas 2011. I shared a house with some friends and there were shower crayons in the bathroom and a lot of big blank white tiles! This got some great responses as did the Christmas cards when they went on sale!
