Eine lange Reise, die begann, als ich 4 Jahre alt war, mit etwas Garn und ein paar Zahnstochern, hat mich letztes Jahr dazu gebracht, als Mitglied des "Design and Craft Council of Ireland" aufgenommen zu werden. Es ist eine sehr bekannte und etablierte Organisation, die irische Kunsthandwerker und Künstler sowie ihre Kreationen fördert und unterstützt. In ihren eigenen Worten: "Als nationale Wirtschaftsorganisation für die Design- und Handwerksindustrie in Irland ist es unsere Mission, ihr kreatives und kommerzielles Potenzial zu fördern."
Davor, im Jahr 2014, war ich auch in der RDS (Royal Dublin Society) National Craft Awards Exhibition vertreten, mit meiner Wall Fiber Art namens "Guilt-Free Pleasures", einer gerahmten Häkelkomposition aus klassischen Keksen, die in meinem Etsy-Shop aufgeführt ist.

Ich liebe besonders Häkeln und Stricken und in meinem Geschäft finden Sie meistens Kreationen aus verschiedenen Arten von Garn, Stoffen und Fasern. Ich begann mit dem Stricken und Häkeln, als ich 4 Jahre alt war, unter dem starken Einfluss von zwei unglaublichen Lehrern: meiner "Nonna Luisia" und meiner "Mamma Silvana". Ich mache immer noch glücklich beides, sowie ein bisschen Sticken und Nähen, wenn ich es brauche, also kann ich mit Sicherheit sagen, dass sie meine größten Leidenschaften sind! Es erstaunt mich immer noch, was aus einem einfachen Faden und wenigen grundlegenden Werkzeugen herauskommen kann, wenn man es mit ein wenig Phantasie zusammenfügt!
Ich lasse mich hauptsächlich von meiner Familie und meinem persönlichen Leben inspirieren. Die meisten Produkte, die Sie in meinem Shop finden, wurden von den Vorlieben und Wünschen meiner Tochter (die jetzt 10 Jahre alt ist) und oft auch von ihren Freunden oder den Müttern von Freunden inspiriert. Die Herausforderung, ihre Wünsche zu erfüllen, hat mich tatsächlich dazu gebracht, insbesondere mit Häkeln zu experimentieren, so dass ich am Ende auf originelle und ungewöhnliche Weise Dinge für sie kreiere. Ich verwende auch gerne andere Arten von natürlichen Materialien, wie Holz- und Glasperlen, Fundstücke und Knöpfe, um die von mir kreierten Gegenstände zu bereichern und zu verschönern.
Obwohl ich stolz auf meine fertigen Produkte bin, probiere ich mich immer gerne an verschiedenen Medien und Projekten aus, also stellen Sie sicher, dass Sie wiederkommen, da ständig neue Produkte in meinem Etsy-Shop hinzugefügt werden.

A long journey, which started when I was 4 years old with some yarn and a couple of toothpicks, has brought me last year to be accepted as a Member of the "Design and Craft Council of Ireland". It is a very well-known and established organization that promotes and supports Irish based crafters and artists as well as their creations. In their own words: "As the national economic organisation for the design and craft industry in Ireland, our mission is to promote its creative and commercial potential."
Before that, in 2014, I was also included in the RDS (Royal Dublin Society) National Craft Awards Exhibition, with my Wall Fiber Art called "Guilt-Free Pleasures", a framed crochet composition of Classic Biscuits listed in my Etsy shop.

I particularly love crochet and knitting and in my shop you will mostly find creations made with different types of yarn, fabric and fibres. I started knitting and crocheting when I was 4 years of age, under the strong influence of two incredible teachers: my “nonna Luisia” and my “mamma Silvana”. I’m still happily doing both, as well as a bit of embroidery and sewing, when I need it, so I can safely say that they are my biggest passions! It still amazes me what can come out of a simple thread and few basic tools when put together with a bit of imagination!
I take my inspiration mainly from my family and personal life. Most of the products you find in my shop have been inspired by the likes and requests of my daughter (who’s 10 years old now), and often also by her friends, or friends’ mums. The challenge of trying to fulfil their requests has actually made me experiment with crochet in particular, so that I end up creating things for them in an original and unusual way. I also like to use other types of natural materials, like wooden and glass beads, findings and buttons, to enrich and embellish the items I create.
Although I’m proud of my finished products, I always like to try my hands at different medium and projects, so make sure you come back again as new products are continuously added in my Etsy shop.
Recently I felt the need to divide the crochet whimsical types of products I make from the crochet jewellery ones, and for that reason I opened another Etsy shop for my handmade/handcrafted jewellery, most of which hypoallergenic, called CraftAroundTheClock.
