Love taking pictures
I have always loved taking pictures, but never loved any of the jobs I ever had. I bought my first camera about 20 years ago. People said, "this kids good" lol. I began to be asked to do weddings for friends and family. About 10 years ago I got my first Digital SLR and things took off. Started getting paid. I did not do this full time but enjoyed doing it periodically.
I have never loved working in a cubicle but you do what you must. I have been and insurance agent, customer service representative, Operations Trainer and even worked in a soil room when I first moved to Pennsylvania 24 years ago. I was never really fulfilled doing any jobs and then about a year ago I purchased a high end DSLR camera. I started doing night photography and my pictures got a lot of very positive feed back. I got a website set up and ordered some business cards, I guess that is what you do, right? I began to take my camera when ever my wife and I went to visit family. We would go the long way and make sure we stopped and places that we thought would be nice to photograph.
My two worlds (what I love to do and how I make a living) came to a head recently when I was let go at my job. Partly terrified and relieved, I thought this may be the window I was looking for. I thought ETSY is a good digital storefront to put my stuff out there. The next great revelation I had recently is to allow people to add script/written words on to any photo they buy. This could be encouraging words, a bible verse, a funny phrase and inner circle joke you share with close friends. This can make any purchase very unique and personal. I thought this is a great gift Idea. I think this is something that people would like to be able to add on to my photography. We will find out. Enjoy the photos and tell me what you want written on it. Brian T. Anderson
