The Sock Bucket is so cute! My friend, who is always missing one sock a wash will love it - now maybe she will be able to match the orphans up! Thank you!

About

Handmade Linocut Prints

Hello and welcome! My name is Samantha and I am a linocut printmaker. I adore simplicity, nature and everyday life.

I work out of my small home studio, located on the outskirts of a busy city in California. My creative world is most often inspired by nature and botanical finds, minimalist design, line drawing and illustration. I work with my hands: sketching, carving linocut blocks and printing with my trusted baren.

I first noticed the art of block printing when I saw the gorgeous wallpaper designs of Galbraith and Paul in a magazine. I picked up a beginner set of carving tools and lino and made notecards for my family. Carving lino blocks in the evenings after my kids were tucked into bed was a great way to relax; the work of carving things away is almost meditative. Soon I began to carve and print more than I could keep, and began to sell my work.

Beginning in 2008, I sold my prints on sewn goods under the name Inklore to small boutiques and customers around the world. My work was featured on blogs such as Bliss, Design*Sponge and Sfgirlbybay - and sold in shops such as Terrain and PerchSF. I have also taught a block printing class at The Makerie. I've been developing my aesthetic as a printmaker, and am excited to be returning with a new focus on original linocut art prints.
